Return policy
How to hand the car back, and what we check when you do.
Return time
Return the car at the date and time in your rental agreement. Two hours' grace applies; after that, an extra day is charged. If you will be late, tell us as early as possible: extending is usually easier.
Early returns
You may return the car early. Unused rental days are not refunded.
Condition
Return the car in the condition you received it, without personal belongings inside. Paint chips, scratches or interior stains may be charged.
Fuel and mileage
Return the car with the same fuel level; a shortfall is charged at the cost of fuel. Kilometres beyond your allowance are charged at the rate for your car.
Where
Return the car where we agreed: our office, the airport, your hotel or an address. A different place without notice may be charged. For returns outside normal hours, agree the drop-off with us; the car remains your responsibility until we receive it.
Inspection
We check the car for damage, cleanliness and fuel when it comes back, and tell you about any charge.
Failure to return
A car not returned on time, without contact or an agreed extension, may be reported to the police.
